You Are Not Alone!

The first thing I’ve gotta tell you is that ‘you are not alone’. We all have fears, though we may not always recognize them.

If you are new to marketing, then this valuable information could spare you endless disappointment, money and time. Or perhaps you have already bought into a few programs and have nothing to show for your efforts and can appreciate what I’m talking about.

When we make the decision to become internet marketers, or network marketers, we often do it on a whim.           Maybe we need more income or we’ve lost our job and look for another way to earn money by working from home. Whatever the reason, we are pretty ignorant to the facts and because we are eager to get started, we start to look around at what’s on offer. Before we know it, we are inundated with offers and claims of instant riches, our in boxes filled with tempting offers and websites that tell us its easy to make money online.

Fact is, this is not the truth. The truth becomes more clear after our failure to produce results.

We may try again and again, maybe several times, but the results are always the same, and it will remain the same until we make the decision to either quit, or to crack the code, find the magic button, or the missing piece of the jigsaw.

If you are wise, or have some available money, you will invest in the services of a trainer or mentor.

There is an old saying which remains absolutely true, and goes something like this. “If you want to be successful, find someone that is already successful and do as they do”

This is what I eventually did after wasting my time and money for several months. The training programs that come with almost every opportunity are usually inadequate in supplying a true step by step guide to success, and the person that sponsored you is normally unable to offer any genuine advice, as they are often as new as you are to the world of marketing online. Marketing online however is similar to any form of marketing, as it relies on paying customers.

Facing our fears

So let us presume that you follow some good advice. You have made the decision to seek good training and that you have begun your journey toward finding real success.

You are likely to want to hold onto the programs that you have already paid for and that’s understandable, but they may be costing you a monthly fee, and if so, you may be wise to let them go.

It is when you start to learn about how the internet works, and how marketing on the internet works, when a whole bunch of new fears start to crack in.

Choosing a niche, branding yourself, getting an autoresponder, writing a blog, writing articles, SEO, PPC, using audio, using video and so on and so on………….This is where the fear element starts to hit, yet they are all essential to building an online business, and therefore will have to get done, and the only way forward is to face each fear and to overcome it, which may sound easier said than done.

The best way forward is to pace yourself.

Make a list of what you have to do and start to put it into order of priority.

Top of the list has to be. Choosing a niche or deciding what it is you do.

Understand that whatever you choose to do, TRAFFIC is your goal. Traffic + A high converting squeeze page= Cash

Map out your business plan,  so you have a clear picture of what you want to achieve.

It need not be perfect, but will give you direction.

Focus only one task at a time, and only on one method of getting traffic.

The very best free method of creating traffic is via blogging and article writing.

Do not try to seek perfection with each step you take, but proceed until finished.

You can always go back and edit or improve later.

Do not put off, or miss any of the steps along the way.

Some tasks will take much longer than others.

Feel good about each completed task.

You will be more enthusiastic when you see results.

Hopefully by now, you will start to see that we must all step out of our comfort zone, and do things that may seem unlike anything we have experienced in our lives before. Some of us will have certain skills that can help, and some won’t, but you can guarantee that the range of knowledge and abilities you need to grasp, are so diverse, that being competent at all, may seem daunting to the best of us.

I believe that if you want something badly enough, and have the fortitude to do whatever it takes to succeed, then you will find success, but you must be prepared to be patient in your endeavour.
